Appointments

For non-urgent issues, please follow the guidelines below and choose the right service. An appointment may not be necessary.

This will help us to be more efficient by making an appointment available to you when you need it the most.

Pharmacy & Self-Care

Pharmacy

Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals who can offer clinical advice, over the counter medicines to effectively and safely manage a range of minor health concerns. They can also help you to decide whether you'll need to see a doctor. You don't need an appointment and you won't even be asked to make a purchase. Every pharmacy also has a private consultation area for you to talk about your symptoms in private if you prefer.

Book a Same Day Appointment

We primarily operate a same day appointment model and these can be booked by telephone from 8am on Monday to Friday

Appointments can also be booked online via SystmOnline.

SystmOnline allows you to book or cancel your appointment, order repeat prescriptions and also ask the practice a question. To use this service you must have a secure registration log in and password. This can be obtained by submitting our online form and then calling into the surgery with you a form of photo ID for example a passport or drivers licence with a photograph on it.

Other ways to book an appointment:

  1. Download the NHS App
  2. Request an appointment online
  3. Woodsend Telephone: 01536 212412
  4. Wollaston Telephone: 01933 664214
  5. Bozeat Telephone: 01933 663243

In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a range of clinics and healthcare services that you can view here

Nurse Appointments

Nurse appointments are pre-bookable, if the appointment is for a specialised clinic such as diabetes, asthma or an over 75 health check, please tell the receptionist and you will be given a longer appointment time.

We aim to provide appointments with a nurse within 5 working days

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)

You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10:30am.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
